Here we brought all sponsors together to acknowledge their support, and invited teachers, principals, and superintendents from the supported schools. We thank their efforts in helping Lend A Hand provide as many supplies possible to students in their respective schools.

More from 2017

In March of 2017, a devastating fire took place on San Pablo in Oakland displacing many people.  Lend A Hand immediately shopped and gathered support from others to provide toiletries, blankets, backpacks, and gift cards so families could purchase new clothing.

In April 2017, Lend A Hand held their Stay In School Program at the Matilda.  A survey was conducted to find out the needs of families. The Stay In School Team held several meetings and conducted projects that helped the families. With the help of the organizing team and several sponsors, families were able to attend an A's game, were provided with school supplies, furniture, and other necessary items.  Many of the Matilda Cleveland residents stated that it was their first time attending a professional baseball game.

In July of 2017, Lend A Hand joined the Parent Voices, East Oakland Collectives, and SupplyBank.Org, to support the homeless by providing over 50 women with personal need kits.

On December 16, 2017, Lend A Hand Foundation held their Annual Holiday Celebration.  We gave 300+ gifts to children, youth, and families. We celebrated with special performances and activities. We hope everyone who attended had a wonderful holiday season with their families.

With the support of the Oakland Fire Department, Lend A Hand was able to provide families in need with Food Baskets containing a turkey for the holidays.
