8th Annual Back to School Giveaway

8th Annual Back to School Giveaway

This event occurs in August and provides youth residing in homeless shelters and other youth at a disadvantage with backpacks and other supplies. We will reach apprxoimately 5-6 schools in Oakland, which will include youth living in shelters. Bank of the West, Give Something Back, PG&E, Port of Oakland, Safeway, Thomas J. Long Foundation, UPS and Wells Fargo Bank have been our corporate sponsors for the past few years.

It is still time to support our efforts. Due to the economy, we are finding it difficult to reach our goal of the same 5,000 as we did last year. However, we will work as diligently as we can to reach our goals. If you can help, please let us know. Thank you for your consideration.
